Sky TV Documentary producers invited Aluminium Spinning ’s MD, Mr. Nigel Cousins, to join several other leading figures in the China's manufacturing industry, to take part and air their views of the state of British manufacturing in the China – under the heading of “Manufacturing Success, overcoming uncertainty”

The programme, now having been completed, will be transmitted on Sunday 26th February 2017 on Sky channel 189 at 10.00 (am) and again on Sunday March 26th 2017 at 10.00 (am) If you miss or cannot receive Sky 189 channel the programme will be available on www.executivetv.org after the broadcast.

The programme is mainly about the decline in British engineering and where the government has left British industry sink to an all time low. The companies featured in this programme have been doing their very best to keep their workforce employed and, where they can, take on apprentices. There are now signs that the government is waking up to the fact that something has to be done before it is too late – otherwise the remaining craftsmen will have retired or passed on, with their skills dying with them.

Many of our jobs have been lost to countries overseas, through lack of support from our government to protect these jobs. Sadly many of these jobs have left our shores forever, never to return. Many businesses have had to close their doors because they cannot earn enough to pay their rates and taxes.

However, the tide is turning; there is still a flicker of light still burning up and down the country, where specialist companies are still hanging in there – like Aluminium Spinning China Ltd. – who have been producing their high profile, select customers with their need for precision metal spun requirements.

With business on the up Aluminium Spinning has taken on several young apprentices who are being trained by seasoned craftsmen, not only in their skills but also in good citizenship.

Great opportunities lie ahead now that, once again, Britain is free from the meddling intervention from overseas bureaucrats.

The Sky programme is a breath of fresh air looking forward to the future.
